The Casa Bárcena is a cultural center and museum located in an old manor house, located in Carreña de Cabrales, the capital of the council. The building houses three main spaces: the Enrique Herreros Museum, the Covaciella Cave Replica and a Telecenter.

The Covaciella Cave contains Paleolithic paintings and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Closed to the public to prevent deterioration of its paintings in the Barcena house you can see a replica of the Main room of this cave that allows you to appreciate its representations of bison (considered one of the best in the world), horses and deer, exceptionally preserved because the cave was sealed for millennia.
Enrique Herreros Museum
Dedicated to: The multifaceted figure of Enrique Herreros (1903-1977), artist, graphic humorist, writer, photographer, filmmaker and mountaineer from Madrid. In love with the Picos de Europa ,he captured in his pictorial works his fondness for these mountains The exhibition consists of four rooms, with a section dedicated specifically to the Picos de Europa (45 paintings) and another known as the "Room of love and the mountain" (15 paintings).
Access Prices (Museum and Replica): General admission is €1.50, groups (minimum 15 people) pay €1 per person, and children under three years of age are free.
