"The path that defies the sky"

More than a trail, the Cares Route is a prodigy of human will carved into the heart of the Picos de Europa. Joining Poncebos with Cain through the mythical "Divine Throat", this path winds between vertical limestone walls, impossible tunnels and bridges that defy the void. Once a vital route for the Cabraliegos and today a mecca of world trekking, it is the place where the roar of the river and the immensity of the rock merge in a breathtaking experience.
