The works, whose completion period is estimated at two months, have a budget of more than 45,000 euros

.

The works aim, on the one hand, to bury around 3,000 linear meters of existing overhead wiring in the neighborhood of "El Cuetu", in Sotres. For this purpose, the infrastructure created within the project of integral improvement of the town of Cabral, executed in 2009, will be used.

On the other hand, the existing streetlights will be replaced by others with LED technology, which will allow to comply with the energy efficiency parameters. In total, 45 luminaires will be replaced.

The aim of these actions is to improve the quality of service to users and contribute to the reduction of electricity consumption, while improving light pollution in a protected area. The City Council estimates that the duration of the works will be approximately two months.
