This sub-action includes the contracting of a specialized technical service for the drafting of a comprehensive project that defines the interventions to be carried out in the Cabrales Green Belt. The objective is to have a project report that includes the necessary work in three key areas:
Digitization of the routes that comprise it, including the generation of tracks, photographic documentation and inventory of elements of interest.
Adaptation of the route, through clearing, drainage, road surface improvement, structural reinforcement, safety and environmental management works.
Design and installation of signage: panels, beacons, directional and interpretive signage.
This project will serve as a roadmap for the coordinated implementation of the set of actions linked to the development of the Green Belt as a tourist and environmental infrastructure.
The Green Belt is a large circular route of medium and low mountains in which green infrastructures will be recovered: Traditional trails and paths that connect the villages of the council with each other. The route totals some 122 kilometers around the 3 characteristic landscape units of the council: Sierra del Cuera to the north, central valleys and Picos de Europa to the south.
