2.2.2. Energy improvement plan PSTD

The material execution of this action is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the Ateneo Cabraliego, by replacing the current carpentry (windows, doors and openings) with high thermal performance elements.

This building, for public use and with cultural, social and tourist functions, currently has significant energy losses due to the aging and poor insulation of its enclosures, which results in:

• High energy consumption for heating in winter
• Decreased thermal comfort for users
• Increased maintenance costs and environmental impact

The action, framed in the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination (PSTD) of Cabrales, will allow:

• Reduce the energy demand of the building
• Improve the conditions of habitability and thermal comfort
• Contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of the equipment

This intervention represents a concrete step following the energy audit of public facilities of the PSTD, and a step forward in the energy rehabilitation and sustainability of municipal public buildings.
